What we store, and why
Plain-language version for the beta. A formal policy ships at launch. Nothing below changes in spirit when it does.
If you join the waitlist
We store your email, which side you picked (freelancer or client), and your field. We use it for exactly one thing: telling you when Klik opens. Reply to any email from us and we will remove you.
If you create an account
We store your email, hashed login codes, and login sessions. There are no passwords. We store the profile you build, your swipes, matches, messages, and any reports or blocks you make. This is the data needed to run a matching platform, and nothing beyond it.
Cookies and tracking
One cookie, used to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics scripts. Guest mode stores your demo progress only in your own browser.
Abuse prevention
We keep short-lived rate-limiting records derived from connection information to stop spam and abuse. Reports about a profile are kept for moderation even if the reporter later leaves.
Deleting your data
Profile → Delete account permanently erases your profile, swipes, matches, messages, sessions, and account in one step. It is immediate and cannot be undone.
Where it lives
Data is stored with our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare. We never sell your data, and we never will.
